Anglia Lighting, a division of electronics components distributor Anglia, has announced that it will be exhibiting its entire portfolio of lighting class LEDs at euroLED 2008, together with a wide array of support products.
On display will be market-leading power LEDs from Cree and Avago Technologies that are ideally suited for the latest solid-state lighting applications. These will be supplemented by demonstrations of driver ICs from Zetex and Power Integrations, and secondary optics from Polymer Optics.

Among the latest innovations from Avago Technologies is the high-power Moonstone™ LED package that offers efficient heat dissipation, long lifetime, wide viewing angle and low package height, as well as an industry-standard TO-220 pad layout that allows considerable time saving during circuit design. Avago also offers an advanced tight binning procedure to eliminate color drifts within one bin which are likely to arise with the commonly used wider white binning structure.

Cree’s recently-introduced green XLamp® XR-E LEDs are 70% brighter than the company’s preceding range of green power LEDs, and along with the complementary blue versions they allow customers to build efficient colour-changing LED lighting systems and fixtures using fewer LEDs than would previously have been required.

Anglia Lighting is a new division of Anglia dedicated to providing a broad range of products, backed up by highly competent technical support, to designers, manufacturers, contractors and installers of LED lighting systems. Additional product ranges featured by Anglia Lighting include driver ICs from ST and Microchip, and thermal devices from suppliers such as Aavid, NMB, Laird and Bergquist.

Anglia represents some of the world's leading companies in semiconductors, optoelectronics, interconnect, and passive and electromechanical components. Technical support is a key area for the company with product specialists, field applications engineers and an in-house design team on hand to provide expert resources. Driven by an ethic of ever-improving customer understanding, Anglia aims to provide a fast and highly responsive service. This was recognised at the 2007 Elektra European Awards ceremony, held in London last December, when Anglia won both the ‘Distributor of the Year’ and ‘Company of the Year’ accolades.
