Analog Devices has over 40 years of signal processing experience. It applies this to the automotive industry through technologies that reduce fuel and energy consumption, improve safety, and provide in-cabin entertainment and information. As the industry integrates increasingly sophisticated electronics into its vehicles, ADI innovation is behind many of the features of hybrid cars, engine start-stop systems, energy management, the reuse of brake energy and engine control measures. ADI’s signal processing technology is also used to provide features such as living room quality audio and video in cars, reliable motion sensing for electronic stability control, and safety features such as airbag deployment and rollover protection.
“Europe continues to be a very important region in the automotive sector, with a number of marquee brands,” said Thomas Wessel, Vice President, European Sales and Marketing. “In his role as European Sales Director Automotive, Stefan Steyerl will work closely with our automotive customers to help them leverage ADI’s technology to gain a competitive advantage in the market.
