Aeroflex Demonstrates End-to-End LTE-Advanced Carrier Aggregation and TDD-FDD Handover at Mobile World Congress
Aeroflex Limited announced today that it will be presenting live demonstrations at this month's Mobile World Congress that will include carrier aggregation on LTE-A user equipment (UE), and LTE TDD-FDD handover on the E500 Capacity Test Platform. Aeroflex announced earlier this month that its E500 LTE Capacity Test System is the industry's first capacity tester to successfully hand over data services between TDD and FDD networks. This is a crucial test capability now that network operators around the world are commissioning dual-standard networks as part of the rapid expansion in TD-LTE (LTE TDD) networks. Visitors to Mobile World Congress will see this being demonstrated live at the Aeroflex booth.
Also recently announced for the E500 is support for a comprehensive range of IP data services provided by a custom-designed Shenick diversifEye™ solution. This uses real data applications including web browsing, video streaming, and voice over LTE (VoLTE) and is also being shown on the Aeroflex stand.
