Aerco has been chosen as the leading distributor supplier in terms of quality and supply chain services for the Quarter 4 of 2005 by Raytheon Systems Limited.
Aerco runs a Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) agreement with Raytheon Systems Limited under the terms of which the company supplies Raytheon with all connector requirements at its Harlow and Glenrothes sites. Raytheon provides Aerco with MRP data on a weekly basis and Aerco delivers products, usually shipped next day, for the next week’s manufacturing requirements. Aerco also manages the complete stock holding, including a buffer stock, ensuring that Raytheon never runs short of connector products.
The prize, a handsome glass trophy, was presented to Bill Laughton who founded Aerco 50 years ago this year, by Dina Hyde, vice president of supply chain management at Raytheon Space and Air Systems (USA), and Robin Singleton, director of commercial and supply chain at Raytheon Systems Ltd. (UK). The ceremony was held at the Raytheon plant in Glenrothes.
