MAX14805/6: 16-channel, high-voltage switches replace bulky relays in portable medical equipment
Maxim introduced its third generation of 230V switches: the MAX14805/MAX14806 16-channel, high-voltage SPST switches. Each device features two banks of eight channels controlled by two logic inputs for easy operation and design flexibility. Maxim's proprietary HVCMOS technology enables the devices to combine high-voltage bilateral DMOS switches and low-power CMOS logic to provide efficient control of high-voltage analog signals.

Imec’s cognitive baseband radio to support 4G and broadband access to multiple services
Imec introduced a cognitive baseband radio (COBRA) architecture targeting 4G requirements at up to 1Gbit/s throughput and multiple asynchronous concurrent streams (for instance simultaneous digital broadcasting reception and high-speed internet access). The low-cost, flexible architecture answers a new trend in wireless communication where terminals give their users ubiquitous broadband access to a multitude of services.
