The most advanced and highly integrated single-die turns up the heat by adding a fourth transmit-receive chain to ensure robust delivery of high performance data rates. The new Avastar solution can steer data towards the client using its Tx beamforming capacity, which dramatically improves link robustness for clients ranging from 1×1 to 4×4 products. Marvell’s 802.11n, 4×4 solution (four independent transmit-receive RF chains) supports three Multiple Input, Multiple Output (MIMO) spatial streams for up to 450 Mbps data rates. The four RF chains guarantees the most stable and robust high order 802.11n Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS) data rates.
