connectBlue Wireless LAN Modules Now Type Approved in Japan

connectBlue today announced that its Wireless LAN modules have passed type approvals in Japan which expands the use of these products into the Japanese market. Already passed for usage in Japan are connectBlue Classic Bluetooth modules.

Wireless equipment to be used in Japan must be type approved by assigned certification bodies according to Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC). These certificates are issued once proper testing is completed by specifically appointed laboratories.

Now type approved for use in 2.4 GHz band in Japan are the connectBlue’ Wireless LAN modules UART Serial Port Module OWS451, SPI Module OWL221a, SDIO Module OWL222a, and SPI Module OWL253.

Already type approved for Japan are the Classic Bluetooth modules Serial Port Module OBS410, Serial Port Module OBS411, Serial Port Module OBS421, Serial Port Module OBS433, and I/O Module OBI411.
