Murata's SAW filter for Bluetooth and WiFi circuits simplifies designs
The latest advances in Murata's filter technology have led to development of a new SAW filter whose high power capability means it can be used as a top filter, replacing two interstage filters with a single component. In addition, the filter's external matching circuit requires just two inductors. This overall reduction in component count minimises a design's bill of materials and will be of particular benefit to OEMs making wireless consumer dev...
Yageo - Antenna Targets GPS Application for Smart Phones
Yageo has announced the 1044 SMD LP Patch Antenna catering to GPS applications for smart phones, personal navigation devices and notebook computers. TI claims industry's smallest integrated load switch
Texas Instruments today introduced a new family of integrated load switches with controlled turn-on and quick output discharge to simplify subsystem load management. The TPS229xx family comes in an ultra-small 0.8 mm x 0.8 mm wafer chip scale package (WCSP) that is ten times smaller than a conventional discrete solution and supports space-constrained applications, such as portable media players, cell phones and portable navigation systems.
Fairchild's Camera Isolation Switch for Portable Devices
Fairchild brings designers of 3G smartphones, netbooks, set-top boxes and notebooks a module switch that isolates parasitic components to maintain signal integrity. The FSA1211 is a 12-port, single pole, single throw (SPST) analog switch that isolates the high speed bus from parasitic components in dual camera applications. Smartphones feature dual cameras and as these cameras move to higher and higher resolutions, parasitic components play a cr...
