TSN switches provide security for Ethernet applications

In stock at authorised distributor DigiKey are Analog Devices ADIN3310 3-port Gigabit Ethernet TSN switches.

They feature integrated security primarily designed for industrial Ethernet applications.

These switches have uncommitted media access controller (MAC) interfaces and can be paired with Analog Devices physical (PHY) layer devices such as ADIN1100, ADIN1200, and ADIN1300 to form a low-power, low-latency system.

Two serial gigabit media independent interface (SGMII) and serializer/deserializer (serdes) interfaces allow backplane connections, as well as connectivity to SFP modules and cascade switches.

The switch supports the suite of IEEE 802.1Q time-sensitive networking bridging features required by the IEEE 60802 standard, providing quality of service (QoS) for latency-sensitive streams.

The device also includes hardware capability to support parallel redundancy protocol (PRP) or high-availability seamless redundancy (HSR) protocols, thereby offloading the host processor.

Each of the three ports can be configured to operate at different speeds.

The EVAL-ADIN3310EBZ evaluation kit allows users to configure the ADIN3310 switch and the TSN features to meet the requirements of a TSN network.
