Quintauris and WHS will work on RISC-V for automotive

Quintauris, the company founded as a single source to enable compatible RISC-V-based products, is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with WITTENSTEIN high integrity systems (WHIS), a provider of safety-critical Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS).

This partnership aims to strengthen the foundation for RISC-V high-performance, and safety-certified real-time applications.

WHIS brings decades of experience and know-how in designing and delivering safety-critical embedded software for different markets. Its safety critical RTOS, SAFERTOS, is designed to meet the highest functional safety standards and deliver dependable performance under the most demanding conditions. It has been independently certified by TÜV SÜD to IEC 61508 SIL3 and ISO 26262 ASIL D.

During this partnership, WHIS’s safety-certified RTOS, SAFERTOS, will be available as part of the software portfolio powering Quintauris’ future automotive reference platforms, allowing developers and OEMs to accelerate development with confidence in safety, performance, and long-term support.
