Advantech and Arrow Electronics have combined their strengths to deliver a comprehensive SECC (Supply Equipment Communication Controller) solution for the evolving EV charging market.

This joint solution will be showcased at the trade show The Smarter E Europe 2025, hall C5, C5.419, taking place in Munich on 7-9th May 2025. Building on their long-standing collaboration, Arrow Electronics brings its proven ISO 15118 software stack to the solution, which was developed specifically to support the next generation of EV charger solutions. The compliance with the OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) industry standard ensures efficient communication between charging stations and central management systems.

“There’s a clear demand in the EV charging market for integrated hardware and software solutions that reduce complexity for our customers” said Pascal van Kesteren, Senior Business Development Manager at Advantech. “That’s why we’re excited to work with Arrow – to deliver a seamless, end-to-end SECC solution that accelerates innovation and simplifies development for our clients.”

Advantech introduced its AFE-E420 single board computer (SBC) with integrated Dual PLC earlier this year. The board is designed to address the challenges of Next Generation EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) integration, thanks to its NXP i.MX 93 processor with Dual Arm Cortex-A55. This new collaboration, which successfully combines Advantech’s advanced hardware capabilities with Arrow’s ISO 15118-compliant software, will further accelerate the deployment of smart EV charging infrastructure.
