Railway touch PC suits demanding HMI applications
Axiomtek has announced the release of the GOT710-837, its latest fanless panel PC certified with EN50155 for railway applications. The GOT710-837 is equipped with a 10.4" SGVA TFT LCD display with high brightness LED backlight offering a luminance of 1000cd/m2, which can allow a train operator to easily read any operational status messages, even under direct sunlight.
Power switch features a programmable current limit
A smart, high-side power switch, which features a programmable current limit, has been introduced by Texas Instruments. The TPS1H100-Q1, claimed to be an industry first, allows designers to drive various loads with advanced flexibility in powertrain, body-electronics safety and driver-information systems.
AEG Power Solutions to provide UPS systems for U35 light railway
AEG Power Solutions has announced that it has been selected by BOGESTRA to provide UPS systems for its U35 light railway. For more than 25 years, AEG PS has been supplying robust and high quality power supply solutions to its customer BOGESTRA. Overall, 24 power supply systems were renewed in the last three years at more than 20 locations including distribution and services.
Transponder coils are 'world's smallest'
Compact EPCOS SMT transponder coils have been released by TDK. Measuring just 4.5x3.2x3.2mm, the TC1812 has an inductance of 2.38mH and is designed for operation in the Z-axis. The TC1210 coil is available with an inductance value of 1.08mH or 1.34mH, depending on type, and is suitable for operation in either the X- or Y-axis. According to the company, the TC1210 is the world’s smallest transponder coil, measuring just 3.2x2.5x2.2mm.
MLCCs operate up to +150°C
Designed for automotive applications, the VJ....31X series of MLCCs has been introduced by Vishay Intertechnology. Available with C0G, X7R and X8R dielectrics, in six body sizes ranging from 0402 to1812, the devices offer high voltages and high-temperature operation of up to +150°C for increased reliability.
EEPROMs are available in densities from 2KB to 512KB
Automotive-qualified serial EEPROMs in a 2x3mm WFDFPN8 package are now available from STMicroelectronics. The devices provide engineers maximum flexibility when designing highly integrated body controllers and gateways, as well as radar and camera modules for ADAS.
High-reliability range includes 800 AEC-Q200 qualified products
TAIYO YUDEN has announced that its high reliability product lineup has grown to include a total of 800 AEC-Q200 Qualified MLCCs, inductors and ferrite beads. Applications for TAIYO YUDEN's high reliability products include automotive electronic components, industrial equipment, and medical equipment.
DC/DC converters meet EN 50155 railway requirements
Power Sources Unlimited has introduced the TEQ-WIR series of 100, 160 and 200W high performance DC/DC converters with ultra-wide 4:1 input voltage ranges. The shock and vibration resistant power supplies meet EN 50155 railway requirements and are available in single output voltages of 12, 24, 28 and 48VDC.
160W DC/DC converters meet railway requirements
Designed for industrial applications requiring chassis mounting, the TEQ 160WIR series of high performance 160W DC/DC Power Blocks have been announced by Powersolve. The eight models meet EN50155 requirements and include resistance to shock, vibration and temperature extremes, making them suited for railway applications.
