Anders Electronics has launched two new TFT displays for use in a wide range of price-sensitive industrial and embedded applications. The addition of the MT24G05G and VGG482704 enables the company to offer a comprehensive range of industrial TFTs that includes modules in sizes from 2.4-inches to 7-inches.
Anders’ industrial TFT products offer designers vivid colour rendering, high resolution and video refresh rates, in rugged form factors suitable for use across a wide temperature range. The new MT24G05G is based on a 2.4-inch screen size, while the VGG482704 is a drop-in replacement for a certain 4.3-inch, 480 x 272 pixel touch-screen device that is common in satellite navigation and other handheld products, as well as industrial and medical environments.

Based on transmissive technology with an LED backlight, the MT24G05G offers RGB resolution of 240 x 320 (QVGA). Its small size provides a competitively priced solution that has the added benefit of reducing susceptibility to the dreaded effects of glass shortages. With an on-board controller and 18-bit CPU bus interface, it can display 262,000 colours. The brightness is 250cd/m2 and the contrast ratio 200:1.

The VGG482704 also uses transmissive technology, can render 16.7M colours and is controlled via a 24-bit TTL RGB interface. With a high contrast ratio of 450:1 and brightness of 600 cd/m2, the device offers excellent readability at an industry-standard size and low system cost.

All of Anders’ industrial TFT products are RoHS-compliant, are designed for low-power consumption, and specified for an operating temperature range of -20 to +70°C.

Anders offers a full range of TFT support solutions which includes engineering and supply chain expertise to help ensure a smooth design-in process. Further details about the company’s industrial TFT range can be found at: www.anders.co.uk/industrialTFTs
