Green Hills Software and Extreme Engineering Solutions, Inc announced the availability of INTEGRITY RTOS board support packages (BSPs) on all Extreme Engineering Solutions embedded computing products based on the new Intel Core i7 processor.
These BSPs enable system developers to build embedded computing solutions based on Green Hills Software’s certified safe and secure INTEGRITY RTOS and Intel Core i7 processor-based embedded solutions from X-ES.

INTEGRITY RTOS BSPs are provided for the following Intel Core i7 processor-based X-ES board products:

• XPedite7301 – XMC

• XPedite7370 – 3U VPX

• XCalibur4341 – 6U VPX

• XCalibur4331 – VME

• XPedite7330 – 3U CompactPCI

• XCalibur4301 – 6U CompactPCI

“There is very strong customer demand for INTEGRITY on our hardware,” stated Ben Klam, vice president of engineering, X-ES. “Because of the close working relationship we have with Green Hills, our customers are able to get the BSPs at the time our boards are available and they have the assurance that Green Hills and X-ES will work together to resolve any problems we might encounter.”

“The Intel Core i7 processor brings tremendous value to Green Hills and X-ES, starting with safety critical applications which make full use of Intel Virtualization Technology,” said Dan Mender, vice president of business development, Green Hills Software. “With such a wide range of form factors available from X-ES on which INTEGRITY is supported, our customers can get started quickly and focus their energy on developing their application software.”

“We are very pleased to see these two Intel Embedded Alliance members working closely together to provide solutions for the Intel Core i7 processor,” said Ryan Brown, product marketing manager, Intel Embedded and Communications Division. “The embedded ecosystem provides the type of collective value that the embedded industry is looking for and speaks to the strength of the companies that support Intel architecture.”
