PC-based scopes can measure digital and analogue signals
A series of PC-based oscilloscopes manufactured by Pico Technology are available from RS Components. The PC-based 5000D series oscilloscopes and mixed-signal oscilloscopes (MSOs) offer up to 16-bit vertical resolution, up to 200MHz bandwidth and 1GS/s sampling speed. Offering two- and four-channel models in the range, the devices are designed to be connected to PCs, and integrate the high-speed USB 3.0 connection to allow waveform data to be saved quickly.

A collaboration between RS Components and Siemens will help customers with the phase out of the manufacturer’s SIRIUS 3SB3 22mm pushbutton range and the migration to Siemens’ SIRIUS ACT range of devices. In October 2017, Siemens announced the beginning of a gradual phase-out period – lasting two years – of its 22mm SIRIUS 3SB3 command and signalling devices, providing customers with enough time to migrate to the newer range of ACT pushbutton devices.
