Penny + Giles unveil 2 CAN bus interface versions of the SRH500 range
Penny + Giles has continued the development of its SRH500 range of contactless rotary position sensors with the introduction of two CAN bus interface versions. The SRH520CN is a development of the company’s existing SRH501/2P model. It integrates additional electronics to provide either J1939 or CANopen options according to ISO/DIS 11898. Both versions also feature a 14 bit non-contact Hall effect sensor offering 0.022° resolution.

Penny + Giles Expands Contactless Rotary Position Sensor Range With 4 to 20mA Output Option

Penny + Giles has further expanded the output options of its SRH501P and SRH502P contactless rotary position sensors with the introduction of a 4 to 20 mA version. This expansion of the output options, coupled with their IP69K rating and operating temperature range from -40 to +120°C, makes the SRH501P and SRH502P sensors ideal for use in the majority of factory automation and process control applications.

Curtiss-Wright Controls Awarded Contract From General Dynamics Land Systems

Curtiss-Wright Controls, Inc. today announced that it has received a contract from General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) to provide rotary potentiometers for the U.S. Armyʼs STRYKER armored combat vehicle. The estimated value of the contract is up to $300 thousand per year for the lifetime of the STRYKER vehicles, and includes the retrofitting of existing STRYKER vehicles. The rotary potentiometer sensors are located in the suspension of the STRYKER and provide feedback for ride, height, and control.
