Partnership established to support Cryo-EM research
Panasas and the University of Wollongong (UOW) in Australia have announced a five-year strategic alliance to support medical and scientific research initiatives that deploy cryogenic electron microscopy (Cryo-EM).
Panasas expands senior team with Todd Ruff and Brian Reed
Panasas has announced that Todd Ruff, Vice President of Marketing, and Brian Reed, Vice President of Product and Alliances, have joined the company’s senior management team. Richio Aikawa has also joined Panasas as director of vertical solutions, a key role as the company looks to expand its focus for financial services, trading and manufacturing customers. All three executives will report to Chief Operating Officer Brian Peterson.
Panasas appoints Brian Peterson as COO
Panasas has announced that industry veteran Brian Peterson has been named chief operating officer, effective immediately. He joins an executive team helmed by Panasas CEO Tom Shea, who had been COO for six years before becoming chief executive in September 2020.
ActiveStor data storage supports 4D modelling research
Researchers at MINES ParisTech have implemented Panasas ActiveStor high-performance computing (HPC) data storage to support the rapidly growing research efforts at the university’s Materials Research Centre. MINES ParisTech, which conducts €30 million in annual research contracts, needed to expand its HPC data storage capacity to take on an increasing load of research to drive further discoveries.
