TEMPEST launched as first UK Thermoelectric Network

The first UK Thermoelectric Network has been announced, garnering support from the Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Network. Funded through the EPSRC, the TEMPEST Network will bring together individuals in different disciplines to define and address the research challenges and opportunity presented by thermoelectrics.

NanoKTN Publishes 2013 UK Nanotechnology Directory

The Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Network has published the latest version of its UK Nanotechnology Directory. Now in its fourth edition, the guidebook features over 450 organisations active in micro and nanotechnologies and the associated supply chains in the UK, and is available for free to anyone working within the MNT industry.

NanoKTN Helps Jordan Valley Semiconductors Deliver Metrology Solutions to New International Markets

The Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Network is pleased to announce that it has helped steer the UK commercial exploitation of European silicon wafer damage research. The research has been used by Jordan Valley Semiconductors, a leading supplier of X-ray based in-line metrology and defect detection systems for advanced semiconductor manufacturing lines, to deliver new metrology solutions to new International companies.

NanoKTN helps UK start-up Bridgelight secure commercial contract

The Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Network announce that following an introduction to Dublin City University, Bridgelight has secured a contract to build the foundations for a web platform to accelerate the identification of profitable collaboration opportunities for UK technology companies. Bridgelight first contacted the NanoKTN in May 2012 looking for partner organisations to validate the company’s business model.

NanoKTN Event Helps UK Company Secure £50,000 of Sales

The Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Network is pleased to announce that one of its members, Datum Developments, has secured over £50,000 of sales from attending one of its events. Datum Developments attended the joint NanoKTN, British Coatings Federation and the Paint Research Association event in November last year, using its speaking slot as a promotional platform for Polcoat, its unique polyimide coating process.
