Increased radius enhances solar cells
Midsummer has developed its solar cells by increasing the radius of the rounded cell from 90 to 100mm. This reduces the unused area of the module from eight to just two percent, thus increasing the power (W) by six percent per area without increasing production costs.
Off-grid solar energy system to power rural school
Swedish solar energy technology company Midsummer has decided to support a charity school project in the rural Matopos area of southern Zimbabwe. In cooperation with the Paul & Eszter Karaszi Education Foundation, Midsummer will equip a new computer centre and library at the White Water secondary school with an entire off-grid solar energy system.
Panels with BIPV metal sheet solar roof
Swedish solar energy technology provider, Midsummer, has launched a new energy producing metal sheet roof ‘Midsummer solar roofs’. This signals a broader effort to expand from mainly selling production equipment for thin film solar panels into the end market for solar panels for various roofs, facades, and vehicles, through in-house production and via contract manufacturers.
