Analogue accelerometers assist vibration sensing

The KX220 sensor series, a family of medium-g, tri-axis Analog Accelerometers has been launched by Kionix, a ROHM group company. Initially two versions are available: the KX220-1071 and the KX220-1072, providing +/-20g and +/-40g ranges respectively. Maximum supported bandwidths range from 4.5kHz to 8kHz.

The industry's first thin full-functional tri-axis accelerometers

Kionix has announced the industry's first thin full-functional tri-axis accelerometers, the KX112 and KXCJB. Part of Kionix's flagship family of tri-axis accelerometers, the KX112 is the thinnest 2x2 accelerometer available, measuring only 2x2x0.6mm, making it suitable for the compact designs required in the health, medical and wearable markets.

Kionix and Rohm 'Finnish' the job with R&D centre

Kionix shows the KXCNL Accelerometer with Dual User-Programmable State Machines

Kionix today announced the release of the KXCNL, a configurable accelerometer with dual state machines to allow designers to dynamically program the device for numerous applications. The KXCNL’s dual state machines allow the device to simultaneously run multiple applications at the chip level, taking significant processing load off the system’s main applications processor and conserving power.
