Empowering additive manufacturing with intelligence
Machine learning specialist, Intellegens, and engineering simulation specialist, Ansys, have announced a collaboration to integrate machine learning methods into Additive Manufacturing (AM) workflows, accelerating the development of reliable and repeatable AM processes.
How can AI be used to search for new materials?
Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are transforming all aspects of daily life, but how can we use this powerful technology to search for new materials that will transform industries? The answer to this question was addressed at The Advanced Materials Show 2019 by Dr. Gareth Conduit, Chief Technology Officer at Intellegens - the Cambridge-based company with an artificial intelligence solution for the materials sector.
AI engine used to design new alloy for 3D printing project
Designing new materials for 3D printing projects is now much simpler, quicker and cost effective thanks to the Alchemite machine learning algorithm, developed by Intellegens, the Cambridge-based AI company. In a research collaboration between several commercial partners and the Stone Group at the University of Cambridge, the Alchemite deep learning algorithm was used to design a new nickel-based alloy for direct laser deposition.
