IDT to present latest sensing technology at SENSOR+TEST 2016

Integrated Device Technology have announced that it will exhibit its advanced sensing technology next month at SENSOR+TEST 2016 in Nurnberg, Germany. The company will showcase leading sensing products developed by ZMDI, a German company it acquired in December. The event, which runs May 10-12th, takes place at the Nurnberg Exhibition Centre and IDT will be at booth 5-217.

IDT announced that its 4RCD0124K register, 4DB0226KA3 data buffer and TSE2004 temperature sensor components are fully qualified by memory eco-system leaders,  including Intel, Dell and Micron, for DIMM applications on Intel Xeon processor E5-2600 v4 product family-based server and storage systems.

Integrated Device Technology and Digi-Key Electronics have announced the winners of their contest seeking innovative uses of IDT’s wireless power kits, with top honours going to the developer of a wirelessly charged coffee maker. Er Bharath Ram, of Chennai, India, won first prize for his ‘On the Go Coffee Maker’ and will be rewarded with a Samsung Galaxy Note5 and Samsung Gear S2, each featuring IDT wireless charging semiconductors.

IDT has announced that 30 finalists have been selected from 119 entries in a contest to develop a novel application for IDT’s wireless power reference kits. Introduced in August for the mass market, the 5W kits provide proven wireless power technology in a format that can easily be integrated into designs, enabling developers not familiar with the intricacies of wireless power to incorporate the capabilities into a broad range of products.

IDT and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) have developed a low-latency platform to speed and improve the management of analytics at the organisation’s Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and data centre. Developed at IDT’s Open HPAC Lab and built upon the company’s RapidIO technology, the platform marks the first major milestone in the three-year collaboration IDT and CERN openlab announced in March.

SMART modular selects IDT as a preferred partner
Integrated Device Technology has announced that SMART Modular Technologies has chosen IDT as a preferred partner for its DDR4 NVDIMM (non-volatile dual in-line memory module) product. The offering includes the 4RCD0124K registered clock driver (RCD) and TSE2004GB2 thermal sensor with SPD, which are part of IDT’s NVDIMM chipset. The chipset is the only complete DDR4 NVDIMM solution available on the market and has been customer qualified and OEM validated.

Joint testing demonstrates SyncE compliance

IDT and Altera have reported their success using IDT network communications solutions with Altera FPGAs and Altera IP cores to build flexible Ethernet nodes that comply with ITU-T SyncE requirements. IDT’s 82P33731 Synchronous Equipment Timing Source (SETS) for 10-40G Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE) was used alongside the Altera devices. The 82P33731 is a proven solution that can reduce risk and speed time to market for SyncE designs. It is suitable for communications equipment demanding network-grade standards compliance and ultra-high performance.
