Generative design tool for engineers to explore new ideas
MSC Software Corporation (MSC), part of Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence division, has released MSC Apex Generative Design 2020, a tool that enables engineers to explore new approaches and optimise any part of their design in a single step to develop innovative products up to 80% faster than conventional approaches.
Advanced simulation for engineers in lockdown
MSC Software Corporation (MSC), part of Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence division, has extended its advanced simulation offering by providing its customers access to software from technology partners through its MSCOne product access platform.
Acquisition brings enhanced smart factory solutions
Hexagon AB has announced the signing of an agreement to acquire Romax Technology, a provider of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software for electromechanical drivetrain design and simulation, to improve their smart factory solutions. A greater focus on energy efficiency and an accelerating shift towards electrification brings new engineering challenges that require increased use of simulation tools earlier in the design lifecycle.
Complete ecosystem created with small imaging laser scanner
A laser scanning mobile-device app has been announced by Leica Geosystems, part of Hexagon, with the Leica Cyclone FIELD 360. It now works in conjunction with the Leica BLK360 imaging laser scanner to create a laser scanning ecosystem where captured data is streamlined for registration and publication.
Integrated visualisation monitoring platform for mining
It has been announced that Hexagon’s Geosystems division today released HxGN GeoMonitoring Hub, an integrated visualisation and analysis platform bringing all sensor technology together in one holistic view of a mining environment. The new platform uses advanced software to show highly accurate information, accelerating decision making and improving safety.
Partnership for advanced UAV mapping services
It has been announced by Multivista, part of Hexagon, that it is entering a partnership with DroneDeploy, the cloud software platform for commercial drones, to expand project management capabilities for the construction industry. Through a sophisticated platform integration, Multivista users now have access to an array of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) resources, each powered by DroneDeploy.
