Automated camera replaces manual pcb inspection

Digitaltest says its Complete Optical Repair Solution (CORS) eliminates the need for manual search and identification of errors on assemblies, saving time and money. Manual Visual Inspection (MVI) is an optical test procedure in which the board is manually inspected for detectable defects using a magnifying glass.

Flying probes land at IPC Apex in San Diego

The latest flying probe solutions, engineering data exchange tools, back-end quality management software and ICT systems will be showcased at IPC Apex in San Diego, (February 14th to 16th). Stand-alone versions of C-Link will be introduced at the show. These packages allow any manufacturer, OEM or EMS provider, to process over Seventy CAD systems and output data for all test and inspection platforms used in electronics manufacturing.

ATE company extends manufacturing facility

Digitaltest’s new production site in Stutensee has opened for business. The new extension is 700 m² in total and consists of an enlarged production space, a service, test and repair centre, a showroom to display the company’s complete test equipment, and a new meeting room that will be used as a training suite.

Flying probe solution set for Las Vegas show

A flying probe tester from Digitaltest will make its debut at productronica in Munich (November 10-13). The Condor, MTS 505 is the latest generation of flying probe test system from Digitaltest. The system now provides support for larger and heavier boards. When combined with the company’s latest measurement hardware it can provide even higher test coverage while keeping maintenance requirements extremely low.

FailSim is a new test tool from Digitaltest developed to ensure the quality of a test program when using In-CircuitTesting or Flying Probe Test. The tool simulates defects, providing the real-world test coverage on a live board, and identifying program, debug or, fixture issues that could be reducing fault coverage.

As the new HYB04 driver/sensor board comes with 128 pins, the Digitaltest test systems can therefore be equipped with twice as many hybrid pins. This is also a major extension for the MTS30 system which is limited to 10 slots. The board supports fast and accurate tests for low voltage applications.
