Australians afraid of cyber attacks more than COVID-19
The year 2020 presented us with a new challenge, COVID-19, which has impacted the majority of the world. Nevertheless, according to data presented by the Atlas VPN team, 70% of Australians and 66% of Danes named cyber attacks as the primary threat to their countries when asked about top global risks.
Cyber attacks on US companies has risen by 93%
Cyber security has remained a hot topic for organisations as cyber attacks directed at business organisations are on the rise. According to the Atlas VPN investigation, companies across North America reported a 93% increase in cyber attacks in the past 12 months.
Over 400 million malware infections detected in 30 days
Data compiled by Atlas VPN shows that in April there have been over 400 million detected malware infections, which makes over 10 million cases per day. This month, the educational field experienced the largest number of malware attacks.
Hackers attacked businesses 22 million times in one week
According to data compiled and analysed by Atlas VPN, hackers attacked businesses more than 22 million times during the last week worldwide. Over 63% of these hacking attempts were malware attacks.
