The COVID-19 pandemic has done for another trade show. Sensor + Test 2020 due to be staged in Nuremberg from June 23-25 this year has been cancelled.

Trade conflicts have hit sensor sales in Germany. The AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement reported a one per cent decline in sales in the first quarter of 2019, a disappointing outcome following 2018’s 10% growth in revenue, as compared to the previous quarter.

  The AMA Association is set to appear at the Hanover Fair from 23rd to 27th April, 2018 with 19 exhibitors at the AMA Center for Sensors and Measurement. Visitors will obtain compact and concentrated information on new products and solutions for sensor and measuring technology in the area of Industrial Automation.

  The AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement (AMA) is inviting researchers and developers to compete for the renown AMA Innovation Award for 2018. The AMA is looking for research and development results in sensor and measuring technology. The submission deadline is 23rd January 2018.

Members of the AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement (AMA) anticipate a further market growth in revenue of five per cent and plan to invest another five per cent, compared to 2016. Last year, the sensor and measurement industry generated a cumulated growth in turnover of four percent standing out from other sectors of manufacturing industry which stagnated.
