Boards/Backplanes
Evaluation kit is based on a 300K logic element FPGA
The PolarFire Evaluation Kit from Microsemi, which allows designers to evaluate the PolarFire FPGA product family is now being shipped by distributor Mouser Electronics. The flash-based PolarFire field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) deliver 100K to 500K logic elements at up to 50% lower power consumption than equivalent SRAM-based FPGAs.
Arduino board opens route to GPS-based IoT projects
The Wireless Input Output (Wio) Tracker from Seeed Studio is an open source gateway that allows for faster GPS solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT) by tracking nearly any moving thing and uploading that data wirelessly. It is an Arduino-compatible development board that integrates Bluetooth 3.0 and GPRS into a single board for quickly and easily developing location-tracking solutions.
PMC boards provide high accuracy test & simulation
Versatile, rugged, and time saving Synchro/Resolver conversion and simulation PMC boards featuring multiple high accuracy, independent channels and easy programmability have been announced by Data Device Corporation (DDC). They provide a highly accurate and convenient method to test and simulate positioning systems in lab and embedded environments.
Pmod boards aid IoT applications design
The EVAL-ADT7420-PMDZ and the EVAL-ADXL355-PMDZ boards from ADI are available at Farnell element 14. The Pmod (Peripheral Module) interface is an open standard specification used with FPGAs and microcontrollers. When prototyping, these boards are used in conjunction with the ADICUP360 (an Arduino form factor compatible ARM Cortex-M3 development platform) or the ADICUP3029 (an Arduino based wireless development platform for IoT applications based ...
Compact capture cards to be unveiled at IBC2017
Developer of video interface devices, Magewell, is now shipping the Eco Capture Dual HDMI M.2, the first of three models unveiled earlier this summer in its new Eco Capture family of high-performance, power-efficient video capture cards for OEM developers. The company also today announced a fourth configuration, designed to provide quad-channel capture density while maintaining the Eco Capture series' ultra-compact form factor.
System-on-chip FPGA anchors design platform
The DE10-Nano development kit from Terasic Technologies, a platinum member of the Intel FPGA Design Solutions Network, is now being shipped by Mouser Electronics. The DE10-Nano kit is a robust hardware design platform built around an Intel System-on-Chip (SoC) FPGA, which combines a processor, peripherals, and an FPGA fabric into a single, user-customisable device.
Mini-PCIe video capture modules for factory automation
A partnership agreement has been concluded between BVM and Yuan, a Taiwanese manufacturer of high-quality video and audio products in PCIe, Mini-PCIe and M.2 configurations. Yuan is vertically integrated, providing complete packages of the Hardware, Driver, Firmware, FPGA and SDK for all its products. Following the agreement, BVM are initially offering the SC5C0N1 series of H.264 Mini-PCIe video capture modules.
