Adam Eaton is Chief Executive Officer at VIRTUS Data Centres, responsible for leading the company’s next phase of growth and innovation. With over 20 years of experience across the data centre, cloud, and managed services sectors, Adam brings a proven track record in strategic leadership, business transformation, and operational excellence.
Before joining VIRTUS, Adam served as Executive Group Director for Europe at Global Switch, where he oversaw operations across the FLAPM markets (Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam, Paris, and Madrid) and drove transformation initiatives to strengthen performance and scale.
Adam started his career as a consultant for a global ERP firm which gave him the opportunity to move to Australia in 2000. Whilst in Australia he Joined IBM Australia as a Business Development Executive, before returning to the UK in 2009 at which point he spent nearly six years in sales and sales management at a leading global data centre provider in the UK. Adam left this role to join Pulsant, one of the UK’s leading cloud service providers, in the role of Sales Director. After Pulsant, Adam acquired and lead his own cloud and IT services company, Nimoveri, before selling it to IDE Group in 2020. At IDE Group Adam oversaw the turnaround of their Network, Colocation and Managed Services division allowing it to be sold to CloudCoCo Ltd at the end of 2021.
Over the course of his career he has held global roles with Pulsant, IDE Group and Nimoveri, utilising his extensive sales, entrepreneurial and leadership skills to deliver significant results and organisational improvements across many different sizes of organisation.
Adam has an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and a BSc Honours degree in Operations Engineering from Exeter University in the UK.
