Aqueous Technologies Corp., will unveil the new Trident X in Booth #3029 at the upcoming IPC APEX Expo, scheduled to take place February 28 - March 1, 2012 at the San Diego Convention Center in California.
Aqueous Technologies will unveil the revolutionary new Trident X high yield zero-discharge defluxing system. While specific details of the Trident X are officially a secret, Aqueous Technologies' President Mike Konrad offered the following statement, Trident X represents the industry's greatest advancements in cleaning / defluxing technology in more than a decade. Trident X will offer users rapid throughput, unique state-of-the-art cleaning and drying technology, unparalleled safety, and the highest degree of environmental responsibility, all in a uniquely compact footprint.”

In addition, representatives from Aqueous Technologies will display the following products:

The Trident Trio High-Yield Automatic Defluxing and Cleanliness Testing System provides a cost-effective alternative to inline defluxing systems. Trident Trio provides throughput rates equal to or exceeding most inline cleaning systems yet operates on a fraction of the chemical, water, and energy.

The Trident Trio is equipped with three autonomous defluxing chambers. Each chamber is controlled by a dedicated computer controller and may be operated with different defluxing chemistries for maximum flexibility. Additionally, each defluxing chamber is equipped with independent cleanliness testing capabilities and recallable SPC data records. Unlike any inline defluxing system, the Trident Trio is capable of high throughput levels and built-in cleanliness testing.

The Trident XLD is the industry’s most environmentally responsible fully automated defluxing and cleanliness testing system. Unlike other closed-loop defluxing systems, the XLD is capable of removing all flux types including no-clean, rosin and water soluble. The Trident XLD also is capable of operating with a variety of environmentally safe defluxing chemistries frequently required for specific types of flux removal. The Trident XLD provides automatic cleaning, cleanliness testing, drying, chemical dosing, complete assembly specific SPC via bar-code scanning, and operates without sending any water to the drain.

The Trident XLD’s average total cycle time is less than 30 minutes, making it the fastest fully automatic defluxing system available. The system can clean one month’s worth of production while consuming less than ten gallons (38 liters) of water, all of which is lost to normal evaporation.

The EcoCycler Closed-Loop Rinse Water Recycler provides capture, filtration, re-deionization, and reuse of rinse water from Aqueous Technologies Trident-LD or other batch-format aqueous defluxing systems.

The EcoCycler rinse water recycler is constructed with durable, corrosion-resistant welded polypropylene. A built-in stainless steel, high performance recirculation / filtration pump directs waste rinse water through particulate filters and carbon and resin media tanks. A user may obtain carbon and resin media tanks directly from Aqueous Technologies or through a media vendor of their choice.

The EcoCycler rinse water recycler is equipped with both low and high level float switches which allow for automatic water replenishment and protection against run-dry operation. Dual pressure gauges monitor the condition of the filtration. A built-in digital resistivity meter provides real-time monitoring and display of the actual cleanliness of the water and is equipped with a user-settable alarm which indicates the need to change the filters.

The Zero-Ion is designed to test electronics assemblies for ionic contamination. It automatically removes and detects contamination on an electrical assembly or bare board and provides quantitative contamination measurements. The cleanliness tester uses a dynamic technology that provides automatic regeneration of the machine’s test solution, maintaining a high degree of test solution sensitivity. The Zero-Ion meets the requirements of military and commercial cleanliness testing standards including MIL 2000A, IPC test method 001, MIL-C-28809, MIL-P-55110 and IPC TM650-2.3.26.

The StencilWasher-CLR Zero Discharge Ultrasonic Stencil Cleaning System is designed to remove all solder paste types including no-clean, rosin, and water soluble as well as all uncured SMT adhesives. StencilWasher-CLR is equipped with a filtered and recirculated wash system and a fully closed-loop rinse system. All rinse water is captured, filtered, re-deionized, and reused. There is no connection to drain.

Unlike competitive models, StencilWasher-CLR comes standard-equipped with all of the features required for thorough wash, rinse, dry, filtration, and closed-loop functions, eliminating the need to purchase costly optional items.
