92% efficiency from JCK60 Series DC-DC converters

XP Power are pleased to unveil a new series of metal cased 60W highly-efficient DC-DC converters. The JCK60 series is aimed at a broad range of applications including networking, industrial and telecommunications. The converter is capable of operating in most environments and across a wide range of temperatures from – 40 to + 85 degrees C. Full output power is available up to + 40 degrees C without derating.

Measuring only 50.8 x 50.8 x 10.16 mm (2 x 2 x 0.4 inches), the compact convection cooled JCK60 has a high power density of 37.5 Watts per cubic inch and has no need for any forced air cooling, additional heat sinking or baseplate cooling.

The single output JCK60 series accommodates a 2:1 input voltage range and includes undervoltage lockout. Models are available with either a 24 VDC (18 – 36 VDC) or 48 VDC (36 – 75 VDC) nominal input, and outputs cater for the popular voltages of 3.3, 5, 12 or 15 VDC. An output trim function allows the adjustment of output voltage of +/- 10% of nominal and remote sense compensates for drops in voltage at the load.

A remote on/off input provides an external control of the output and can be used to sequence start-up procedures. Overvoltage, overload and continuous short circuit protection features are standard across the range. All models have an input to output and input/output to case isolation of 1,600 VDC.

The units meet EN55022 level A conducted and radiated emissions with no external components necessary.

The JCK60 is available from Farnell, element14, approved regional distributors, or direct from XP Power and comes with a 3 year warranty.
