Focus EDL announces RoHS compliant connectors for PoE applications.

Focus EDL has added to its extensive Power over Ethernet (PoE) product offering with the addition of a series of 10/100 Base-TX RJ45 connectors.

Members of the PulseJack™ filtered connector family produced by Pulse Engineering, the PowerJack T12 series connectors have been designed to suit most leading PHY manufacturers with the addition of power feeding over the signal pairs according to IEEE 802.3af.

Designed to be RoHS compliant with a peak solder rating of 260ºC, the PowerJack T12 connectors feature integrated surge suppression circuitry and status LEDs. Isolation is 1500Vrms and operating temperature range is 0 to 70ºC.

Typical insertion loss is -1.0dB (1-100MHz) and typical crosstalk is from -30 to -40dB depending on frequency.

PowerJack connectors incorporate PCB space saving terminations and a patented interlock base construction for high reliability.
