Since debuting the new solution at MOSIP Connect 2025, NEXT has received significant interest from potential customers.
“We are seeing growing demand for FAP 30 solutions globally,” comments Marcus Lauren, CPO at NEXT Biometrics. “Governments and organisations in Africa, South America, the US, and beyond are releasing tenders that specify FAP 30 biometric sensors for high-security use cases. The NEXT Granite sensor’s increased surface area, combined with our proven Active Thermal technology, brings the accuracy, sensitivity, security, and convenience needed to manage strong authentication and identification at scale.”
NEXT’s Active Thermal technology uses both heat from the finger and 3D imaging to authenticate the user. This enables superior liveness detection to combat spoofing attacks, when compared with other fingerprint authentication technologies.
The NEXT Granite Sensor minimises sensor thickness and optimises image resolution and energy consumption, simplifying integration with devices like readers, tablets, terminals, and more. This enables portability of identification devices and exceptional performance in varying light and environmental conditions.
Over the last 25 years, NEXT Biometrics has shipped more than 10 million sensors. Its active thermal technologies are certified by entities including Aadhaar, FBI-PIV, MOSIP Compliance, and NIBSS, and have been implemented in countries including Bangladesh, China, Ghana, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, US, and Vietnam.
