At embedded world 2025, Frederik Dostal, Power Specialist at Analog Devices, discusses the company’s Silent Switcher technology.
This innovation significantly reduces EMI in power management without trade-offs. The technology uses RF circuit design principles to cancel magnetic fields, resulting in lower radiated EMI.
The second-generation Silent Switcher includes symmetrical bypass capacitors inside the package, further reducing parasitic inductances and EMI. This advancement simplifies board layout and benefits high-efficiency, high-power density, and compact space applications. Emphasising the technology’s versatility, Dostal notes its use in various regulators and its impact on the power management industry.
