Kontron announces availability of VX6011-S

Kontron, has announced the immediate availability of the VX6011-S, a 6U VPX Single Board Computer featuring 11th Gen Intel SoC technology and an MXM expansion slot.

This particular solution is designed to meet the needs of applications requiring co-processing or GPU capabilities in a cost-effective package.

Based on the low power Intel Core i7-1185GRE quad-core processor, the VX6011-S delivers exceptional performance for compute-intensive tasks while maintaining energy efficiency. It incorporates Intel’s latest AI acceleration (VNNI), doubled signal processing performance (AVX-512), and a Gen12 graphics engine with 96 execution units, offering enhanced AI and graphics processing capabilities.

The VX6011-S features an exclusive MXM or XMC mezzanine slot, connected to a x4 PCIe Gen3 port, facilitating seamless integration of additional functions such as GPU cards. It offers robust connectivity, with a dual 10GbE control plane, ensuring high-speed data transfer in demanding applications.

Its advanced storage capabilities include two M.2 sockets, supporting both legacy SATAIII and the latest NVMe x4 PCIe Gen3 devices for flexible and high-performance storage options. Well-suited for a range of applications in defence, aerospace, industrial automation, and transportation, the VX6011-S combines high performance with exceptional reliability and adaptability. Its compliance with the SOSA technical standard ensures interoperability and reduces development time and costs.

“The VX6011-S represents a significant leap forward in embedded computing technology,” said Christophe Ferrande, VPX Product Manager at Kontron. “Its powerful processing capabilities, combined with the flexibility offered by the MXM/XMC slot, make it an ideal solution for customers looking for a future-proof high-performance computing platform for their most demanding applications.”
