Distrelec signs low power IC design specialist

European distributor Distrelec has added Japanese low power IC design specialist Torex to its portfolio to enhance the company’s broad product offering.

Torex is an analogue CMOS professional group that specialises in analogue power supply ICs. The company’s ultra-low power, space-saving and versatile components are ideal for a wide range of applications, including those in the industrial, automation, EV/green energy, IoT and wearable sectors.

In the past few weeks, Distrelec has introduced 395 different Torex products to its website. Customers can already place orders online for a variety of discrete semi-conductors and integrated circuits: micro DC/DC convertors, LDO voltage regulators and power distribution switches are readily available.

“This is great news for both Distrelec and Torex,” says Lucy Henshaw, Product Manager for Semiconductors, Passive Components and Optoelectronics at Distrelec. “It’s a sound commercial match and we are thrilled to provide the European market with a range of high-quality low power semiconductor solutions at an attractive price point.”
