The Analog Devices RHP50000 is a monolithic synchronous step-down regulator capable of delivering up to 12.5A from a 2.25V to 5.5V input supply.

It uses peak current mode control to provide fast transient response and stable regulation for dynamic loads such as FPGA, ASIC, and processor core rails.

The device, which is in stock at authorised distributor DigiKey, integrates Silent Switcher 2 architecture with internal hot-loop bypass capacitors to minimize EMI and reduce sensitivity to PCB layout.

High switching frequency operation up to 5MHz enables compact designs with reduced external component size.

Designed for radiation-tolerant applications, the RHP50000 supports single-event latch-up immunity and total ionizing dose performance suitable for commercial space and avionics systems.

Integrated protection and monitoring features include overvoltage protection, short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown, power-good indication, and die temperature monitoring.

The RHP50000 enables high-current, low-voltage power conversion in space-constrained and radiation-exposed environments.

Its low EMI operation simplifies compliance and layout, while high switching frequency reduces solution size.

Integrated protection and telemetry functions improve system reliability and simplify design validation in high-reliability applications.

Applications cover point-of-load regulation for FPGA, ASIC, and processor core supplies, distributed DC power systems in high-density designs, low earth orbit (LEO) satellite power systems, avionics and aerospace subsystems and high-speed communication and signal processing equipment.
