The MicroBeam connectors and cable assemblies from Molex are now being shipped by authorised distributor Mouser Electronics.
These connectors and cable assemblies provide low-profile, high-performance connectivity for high-density, near-chip applications. They meet the needs of today’s data centres, supporting a range of networking applications, including artificial intelligence (AI) hardware, Ethernet switches, and high-speed cabling to the panel.
The connectors deliver data rates of up to 112Gbps supported by twinax cable for exceptional signal integrity. The MicroBeam series is available with 12 or 16 differential pairs.
Both variants feature a low overall mated height of less than 7mm, reducing interference with other components while improving airflow and thermal management.
A compact design also allows multiple connectors to be placed around the chip, increasing the number of high-speed channels.
