Kontron Electronics launched its new Preferred Design-In Partner Program. The goal of this initiative is to develop and implement customised embedded solutions based on compact Systems-on-Module (SoM) using the Open Standard Module (OSM) Size-S form factor (30 x 30 mm).

As part of the Preferred Design-In Partner Program, Kontron Electronics collaborates with an exclusive partner in each country, who develops and implements customised Systems-on-Module (SoM) solutions for their customers based on the OSM standard. These SoMs are built on ARM processor architecture and offer all the benefits of the open standard: they enable vendor-independent, cost-effective development of custom embedded applications, reduce design risks, and significantly shorten time-to-market. This results in a flexible and future-proof platform that sustainably advances a wide range of industries – from automation and medical technology to modern IoT applications.

Kontron Electronics has more than 30 years of experience and has a long track record of reliable and long-term partnerships. As a full-service electronics provider, the company supports its Preferred Design-In Partners throughout the entire development process – from the initial concept idea and prototyping to manufacturing. If desired, Kontron Electronics also takes on series production of assemblies, thus overseeing the entire course of the project.

“With our Preferred Design-In Partner Program, we aim to create innovative, customised embedded solutions together with strong partners,” explains Martin Schiller, Channel Sales Manager at Kontron Electronics. HY-LINE Technology GmbH is the first Preferred Design-In Partner of Kontron Electronics for the Germany region. As part of its development projects, the company will use SoM modules in the future to implement tailored solutions.
