The SCHURTER ADO series is a fuse with a rated current range of 10 to 63A and a maximum operating current of 40A at 1,000 VDC. It is designed for applications in direct current systems up to 1,000 VDC.

The fuse has a fast tripping characteristic, high current-carrying capacity, and excellent vibration resistance. The ADO series is UL-certified. Technological features such as a patented filler formulation and special curing processes ensure safe arc extinguishing and prevent secondary arcing.

Mounting options

The ADO fuse family offers a total of four mounting options. In addition to a classic variant for PCB mounting, there are three variants for screw mounting. The screw variants ensure a firm, mechanical fit even in the event of strong vibrations. They are also ideal for applications where high currents flow, as the contact resistance is low. The screw variant also offers advantages in terms of maintenance (it can be replaced after tripping).

Application areas

The ADO fuse family has been developed for applications in the automotive sector and covers a wide range of applications. These include battery management systems, onboard chargers, DC/DC converters, air conditioning compressors, and PTC heating systems, as well as various control systems such as engine control units.
