Hirose has expanded its DF22 Series of high-current power connectors with a new branch adapter, DF22B, designed to simplify wiring and reduce cabling and installation time. Compared to traditional wiring methods, branch wiring reduces the number of cabling leads, offering significant space savings.
The DF22 Series power connector utilises a four-point contact design and highly conductive contact materials, supporting up to 30A/contact at 1000 V AC/DC.
In addition to a branch adaptor version, the DF22 Series lineup includes straight, right-angle, and in-line wire-to-board options, three types of housings featuring different guide keys and colour variations to prevent mis-insertion when using multiple connectors with the same number of positions.
“Part of the EnerBee family, the DF22B branch adapter provides superior cable management by reducing cable clutter and optimising wiring layouts for greater installation flexibility,” said Pete Lais, Assistant Vice President of Product Management for Hirose Electric Americas. “The DF22 family offers a wide range of styles to meet most any application requirement.”
For harsh environment applications, the DF22 Series straight header variant supports potting up to 10mm.
The DF22B branch adapter, designed for compact, high-current branching, is commonly used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, industrial robots, conveyors, mounting machines, and service robots – applications that demand compact, reliable power distribution
