Partisia (DK), and Squareroot8 (SG) announced the launch of FracQtion – a jointly developed product designed to protect high-trust sectors, such as finance and telecoms, from quantum computing threats.
FracQtion enables institutions to secure sensitive data, even against future quantum decryption, without replacing existing systems. Built on Partisia’s Multi-Party Computation (MPC), and Squareroot8’s Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG) and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), it delivers both physical security and cryptographic control. MPC enables confidential, policy-driven workflows that protect identities and access during processing, while QRNG ensures fresh, testable entropy via a self-verifying engine.
The core of FracQtion is a hybrid network that combines the properties of MPC, QKD, and QRNG. This creates a secure network for communications and data sharing, fortified by data fractioning, a process that splits and distributes sensitive data so that no single party ever holds the complete information. The resulting post-quantum crypto (PQC) solution establishes a quantum-resistant communication network, setting a new standard for a truly future-proof security architecture.
Unlike hardware-only ‘black boxes’ or software-only systems, FracQtion gives CIOs and CISOs a modular path to quantum resilience, built for interoperability and evolving compliance. It bridges the gap between physical and cryptographic protection with a layered architecture that is adaptable, auditable, and ready for quantum-era demands.
Earlier this year Squareroot8, together with NuSpace, demonstrated QRNG-powered secure communication via nanosatellite, showing how quantum technology and advanced cryptography can be combined in operationally challenging environments. That foundation now extends into FracQtion, built for terrestrial high-trust industries.
The launch also marks the formal signing of a Joint Product Agreement, a move that cements the strategic partnership and reflects the commitment both firms have made to solving global post-quantum security challenges together. It also expands Partisia’s presence into Singapore’s strategic digital infrastructure landscape, including financial services, telecoms, and critical systems.
“This partnership with Partisia goes beyond a typical integration,” by unlocking capabilities that neither could offer alone, said Cristofer Quek, CEO of Squareroot8. “Their deep expertise in Multi-Party Computation is the perfect complement to our quantum-safe random number generator. Together, we’ve built a solution that offers an unprecedented level of security, giving our clients a defensible position against future threats that no single company could achieve alone.”
Early pilot deployments are underway with financial institutions in Singapore and Europe, reflecting demand for solutions that combine physical assurance with cryptographic control.
“With the looming threat of quantum computing, the identity of who you’re communicating with, and the security of that communication is paramount,” said Kurt Nielsen, CEO at Partisia. “This product is arriving at the perfect time, offering a robust, future-proof solution against the ‘harvest now, decrypt later’ threat. This combination of hardware and software creates a truly unique magic that can only be done when our two companies work together.”
As standards for quantum-safe communication evolve, FracQtion positions itself as a blueprint for compliant, scalable deployment. The collaboration also enhances Singapore’s growing role as a quantum innovation hub.
Singapore’s National Quantum Strategy (NQS), part of the RIE2025 initiative, has committed SGD 300 million to quantum research, enterprise partnerships, and talent development, reinforcing the nation’s position at the forefront of secure digital infrastructure. FracQtion’s launch in Singapore sets a precedent for other digital economies seeking scalable, quantum-safe infrastructure solutions.
