PMOLEDs (passive-matrix OLEDs) have outstanding optical performance and an ultra slim design. There are no limitations on the viewing angle, making the display easily readable from all directions. The OLED technology is self-emitting, so there is no need for a backlight system, which allows a very compact product design.
In OLEDs only the active pixels are driven, which leads to a very high contrast ratio. What is supposed to be black, is actually dark black! Thus power consumption and response time can be reduced drastically compared to other technologies.
Monochrome PMOLEDs are available in several colors like white, yellow, blue, green and in different resolutions from 64 x 48 up to 256 x 64 dots. Mostly of them in smaller sizes from 0.66“ (1.7cm) up to 3.12“ (7.9cm) and a big module of 5.5“ (14cm). Full color PMOLEDs with up to 262k colors are available in sizes from 0.95“ (2.4cm) up to 1.69“ (4,3cm) and resolutions from 96 x 64 up to 160 x 128 dots.
