Elan Digital Launches New SD/SDIO Testing Tool

Elan Digital Systems announces the addition of the SD/SDIO Testing Tool to its range – the SDCT5. This device is intended for designers and manufacturers of SD/SDIO devices and provides a fast and simple method of implementation of controlled command/response analysis.

Essentially, the SDCT5 is a configurable SD/SDIO host with a simple to use JAVA based GUI providing flexibility whilst conforming to SD/SDIO standards. The user can set up a customised sequence of SD/SDIO commands to exercise cards responses, SDIO interrupt and error handling.

The SDCT5 allows the user to set up ‘what if’ scenarios for their target devices which can be very helpful in determining ‘real world’ performance and behaviour.

Until now such testing has required expensive multi-function test equipment or customised hardware, meaning that this new product delivers real benefits in time-to-market and design and development costs.

Elan Digital is committed to supporting SD/SDIO-based products, and in addition to its Test & Measurement products it also offers a range of chip level interface devices as well as a full custom design service to industry.
