The new mains power controllers are PTC/NTC selectable and feature quick programming keys for fast batch programming. Certain models feature Flexicold energy saving technology. Flexicold is a software function that automatically adapts to changing working conditions of a refrigerator unit – for example, if warm products are placed in the fridge, or a door is opened frequently. In such situations, the software will switch to a different set of parameters more suited to dealing with the new conditions. When the situation returns to normal, the software detects this and reverts to the main set of operating parameters, requiring less power.
