Hackable computer manufacturer, LattePanda, has announced the launch of its next-gen LattePanda, LattePanda Delta, what the company claims to be the first hackable computer pre-installed Windows 10 and compatible with Linux. It offers onboard Macbook-level CPU processer, and the general performance is four times higher than the first generation.

Compared to the previous palm-sized model, it is even more compact. The LattePanda Delta is designed for software developers, IoT developers, DIY makers, digital art creators, educators, and 'techie' students and consumers interested in the latest gadgets.

LattePanda team has also launched its Kickstarter campaign, which has set a goal to raise $100,000 for continued product development.

LattePanda Delta has the same user experience, interface, and compatibility with all Windows and Linux applications and hardware and software as a regular Windows PC and notebook.

More importantly, it also integrates an Arduino Compatible coprocessor to support the access of thousands of sensors and controllers.

Fourty pairs of interfaces integration on the board, LattePanda Delta can be used to power nearly any Internet of Things creation - from a device for streaming videos or a 3D camera, to a smart car enabler or a toy used to build a walking, talking robot.

The possibilities are endless. As small as a shirt pocket, it is still big enough to fit two full-sized Solid-State Drives (SSDs). It will now come preinstalled with Windows 10 Pro OS, LattePanda Delta features what the company claims to be the most impactful performance of any device of its kind; it is apparently as powerful as the latest MacBook CPU.

“There are so many people out there who want to create rather than buy technologies,” said Lauren Pan from LattePanda team.

“This is why we redesigned the LattePanda - to make it even easier for these talented and eager individuals to have a tool that can power nearly anything they want to build, whether a video game console, a 4K movie player, an in-home fire sensor, or even a digital instrument.

"The new and improved LattePanda bridges the gap between the physical, electronic and software worlds, and we are very excited to see all of the amazing innovations for which it has been used.”
