Volunteers needed to inspire the next generation

The Big Bang Fair returns Wednesday 22 to Friday 24 June 2022 at The NEC in Birmingham and is seeking volunteers from the STEM world who can spark the imaginations and inspire the engineers and science of tomorrow.

Could you be the person to give a young person the lightbulb moment that will change their life? By relating your experiences of a STEM career to a young person, helping them get the most from The Fair or saying something as part of a panel discussion you could be all the inspiration they need.

You can volunteer for one day or up to all three and in a number of roles. These are:

  • Showfloor Volunteer
  • Explore Volunteer
  • Hospitality Volunteer

It’s a fun and rewarding opportunity to make a difference in young people’s lives as well as a chance to build your personal development and network.

“It’s really exciting seeing the creativity, passion and determination of the next generation of scientists and engineers, and gives a lot of hope for the future!,” said a volunteer.

We want young people to see themselves represented in the volunteers who work with us, so we actively encourage volunteers from groups who are currently under-represented in the engineering profession.
