Scientifica will be held over the weekend of 4 and 5 September on the theme of “Synthetic naturally”. This year’s science festival from ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich (UZH) offers a bigger programme than ever before, and will now also include the Irchel and Hönggerberg campuses.
The first Scientifica festival took place ten years ago. Over the years, tens of thousands of visitors have come to ETH and UZH for this event to experience science hands-on and exchange ideas with researchers.
“Synthetic naturally” is the theme of this year’s Scientifica, which will be bigger than ever before. At about 60 exhibition stands and in almost as many short lectures, researchers from UZH and ETH will present their current projects in a clear and understandable way. For example, visitors will have a chance to control a drone, create plant-based plastics, discover hidden archaeological treasures, put themselves in the shoes of a journalist, and take a look inside the human brain or below the ground.
