ASIC specialist Creative Chips from Bingen, Germany has extended its portfolio of ASSPs with an existing ASIC product that has seen further development in the new transimpedance preamplifier CCG1401 for use in optical sensor applications. This circuit uses a proven BiCMOS technology and achieves excellent noise characteristics.

With only one supply voltage, transimpedance and lower cut-off frequency are programmable via the integrated SPI interface from a connected micro controller.

The sensor status is displayed either via a comparator or analogue output. In standby mode the current consumption is 15μA only. For smallest sizes in optical sensor applications a CSP flip chip package is available. Alternatively the CCG1401 is offered in a QFN16 package.

Pin compatible and functional replacement for the discounted chip HA12240, the new bus interface IC CCA1224 in SOP8 package, in regards to the dynamic properties offers a higher transfer rate of up to 3 MBps. However all DC parameters correspond to those of the original.Main applications are audio automotive bus systems. The CCA1224 is designed, produced and tested under ISO TS16949 certified conditions. For appropriate quantities attractive prices can be offered.

Creative Chips sales manager Roland Obst commented: “Custom chip solutions represent our most important business area now and in future. But, the expanded portfolio of ASSPs offers our customers a variety of interesting application-specific IC solutions off-the-shelf.”

Also this year CREATIVE CHIPS is represented at the electronica in Munich. In hall A4, booth no. 118 visitors will get information about the current ASIC technologies as well as the new standard products.
