Establishing a partnership in the VR market

Manufacturer of inductive components, PREMO, and NDI, a manufacturer of 3D measurement technology systems, are working towards establishing an agreement that will expand their respective positions in the Virtual Reality (VR) market.

The agreement is currently at an initial stage and its terms have not been disclosed as yet. However, PREMO and NDI have been working together as technology providers in the VR arena. NDI uses and prescribes coils and 3D sensors manufactured by PREMO. PREMO, for its part, recommends NDI to OEMs looking to integrate electromagnetic tracking technology into their VR systems.

PREMO and NDI will look to drive market demand thanks to their technical expertise, particularly on motion tracking. Together they can span the whole value chain and target sectors like medical, industry, science and defence, among others.

Claudio Cabeza, Chief Innovation Officer at PREMO, commented: “At PREMO we are extremely satisfied with this successful relationship and look forward to providing major benefits to our customers. NDI is a perfect match for us thanks to its expertise and market recognition.”
