Meet ‘Swifty’- the compact CNC plasma cutter
A new CNC compact plasma cutting table has been launched by Swift-Cut Automation. Named ‘Swifty’, the table has been designed and priced to open up a world of possibilities to artists, educators and small workshops. The bench-top system, which comes complete with table, CNC and easy-to-use operating software, cuts mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, copper, and any ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Swifty is a first of its kind in compact plasma cutting. With multi-position torch height control and a precise pulley and timing belt drive system, it is able to accurately pierce and cut materials up to a maximum thickness of 8mm.
Its 625 sq mm bed boasts a 610 sq mm cutting area. A water tray provides efficient fume control, while a high-quality CNC drive engine provides support for parts nesting and parametric shapes. Compatible with 110V or 230V power supplies, Swifty fits into any home or professional scenario.
With prices starting from £2,995, Swifty brings plasma CNC cutting, typically associated with industrial and large-scale workshops, into an affordable and compact form factor that is accessible to the enthusiast or small workshop for the first time.
